Assessmment Process

Pre-Assessment Survey

After making contact with an IAC analyst, your company will be required to complete our pre-assessment survey and supply us with 12 consecutive months of utility bills. We will compile and analyze this information for use in our final report. In addition, a comprehensive utility usage summary will be presented to you at the site visit.

Site Visit | Day 0

Breifing

The start of a typical site visit begins with a briefing session that includes the IAC director and team as well as any company and facility personnel you wish to include. Here, the site operations and energy related concerns for your company will be discussed.

Assessment Review Recommendation Development

Following the facility tour, the IAC team will compile the gathered data in a short meeting and determine if additional information needs to be collected. If needed, the team may revisit some areas of your plant for additional information and data.

Debreifing

Once satisfied with the information collected, the IAC team will meet again with your facility representatives for an informal discussion, wrapping up the day and presenting potential areas for recommended savings.

Follow Up | Day 1-59

Shortly after the site visit, an IAC analyst will contact your facility representative to obtain any additional information needed. Communication will be maintained throughout the 60 day period allotted for report production.

Report Completion | Day 60

Sixty days after the site visit the completed report will be uploaded to the IAC field office database at Rutgers University. Please note that all sensitive information is removed from this version of the report and replaced with an internal alphanumeric number (SU0XXX).

A hard copy of the final report is mailed to your facility. Also included is a disc with a digital version of the report and utility data analysis spreadsheets. Our reports contain recommendations with estimated savings calculations, implementation costs and simple payback periods along with best practices; a list that highlights the actions your company is already taking to conserve energy and reduce waste.

Implementation Survey | Day 330

Approximately 11 months after the site visit, we are required to submit implementation results for your facility to the IAC field office. Included in the final report is a copy of the implementation survey that we ask our clients to complete at or before this time. This survey is simple, requires minimal time to complete and can be submitted by email, fax, mail, or can be completed over the phone. Your implementation results help measure our success as a center and we greatly appreciate the time you take to complete our brief survey.
