Student Poster Competition at 14th Annual SyracuseCOE Symposium
This year our students attended the 14th Annual SyracuseCOE Symposium Student Poster Competition. Two teams were entered in the Graduate Poster Competition, and Enrica Galasso (MSEM ’15) and Jillian Burgoyne (MSEM ’16) received 2nd place for presenting the poster entitled, “Green Heating: Reducing Pollution and Overheating on Campus,” which was originally presented at the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute this past April. Jillian and Enrica also presented a poster entitled, “Using Computational Fluid Dynamics to Reduce Thermal Stratification in Manufacturing Facilities,” with a fellow student, Nhan Phan, who is currently a PhD Candidate in the MAE Department at Syracuse University.
In the undergraduate degree category, three of our students, Mark Seibel (BSME ’15), Patrick Ostoyich (BSME ’15), and Michael Garrett (BSME ’16), presented a poster entitled, “Energy Savings From Installing More Efficient Light Fixtures.”
