IAC Students Win First Prize at Syracuse CoE Symposium
On October 22nd, IAC students from both Syracuse University and Clarkson University participated in the 13th Annual Syracuse CoE Symposium on Urban Reinvention and Resilience. Throughout the symposium, students attended a variety of panel discussions and presentations on topics ranging from technology for urban resilience, energy management innovations, and urban ecosystems.

Enrica Galasso and Ryan Milcarek presented a poster on the energy savings from ducting outdoor air to compressors in industrial facilities. Jillian Burgoyne and Timothy Castelein presented a poster on the overview of Syracuse University IAC’s energy assessments in 2012.
Judges for the competition awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes to students in each of the three categories of undergraduate, masters, and PhD student research. Jillian Burgoyne and Timothy Castelein won first place in the undergraduate research category during the competition.
