IAC students win Second Place in NYSP2I Competition
On April 24, 2013, IAC students John Hilla, Meghan Reilly and Chuck Walck won 2nd place in the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute’s (NYSP2I) 2nd annual Research and Design Student Competition. Fifteen student teams participated in the exhibition event from colleges and universities around the state. The team from Syracuse presented a research project that involved harvesting the rainwater off of Manley Field House on SU’s campus and using it to water the Varsity Field Hockey field nearby. The competition took place in The Well of the Legislative Office Building in Albany where many students had the opportunity to meet and present their projects to their local legislative representatives.
Clarkson University students Dan Barron and Dylan Bloomfield, part of the SU-IAC satellite center also participated in the competition with their project entitled Small Wind Energy Analysis; High Altitude Measurements.
